I had Corsas but didn't like 'em, I sold them and bought Borla 2.75" full catback.. I like them much better, I can really feel the difference in performance and the sound is deeper and no motorboating or resonance.

A bit pricy but what the hell..Flip of the coin with my wife.. New exhaust for the Vette OR new computerized Singer Sewing Machine for the wife.. I WON!!! (for once) :smash: :smash: :auto:

I just have the Ansi/Monza tips on mine, I hate the look of a full muffler on the back of a C4. Not sure about the Hp, but everyone says it sounds nice.

Depends ~

You should listen to as many as possible then choose what YOU like.

That said ... best sound/performance with NO resonance ... look/listen closely to Corsas. very hard to beat.

best sound/price .... eliminators (careful w/resonance)

And on and on and on .... as mentioned before, this topic has been hashed a lot of times and it really is a personal decision.

As you can see in my sig I have Corsas on my 94 auto and Borlas on my 90 ZR-1. The Corsas are perfect in that application and the Borlas would not be very pleasant on the auto but are great on the Z.

In my opinion....just my opinon...the FlowMaster's are the best pick...I have used them now for several years.....good sound....excellent performance....when matted with a Good Cat...like the Random Tech.....you can expect alot of horsepower for the buck$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$..and you stay smog legal.....breathing is easier......
Try it you will like it....give it a chance....
Just my humble thoughts....

Funny how hardly anyone mentions Power Effects. This is one of the best systems around. It's very versatile, great sound, solid fit and finish, chrome tip option available, the L98 part number will fit the LT1/LT4 so you don't need to spend money on the resonator, but it can have slight resonance at around 2,000 rpm. I'm not crazy about the C4 Corsa sound and the looks. Can't stand the way flowmaster, Borlas look. Plus you will experience major resonance with these. They would be okay for a track car, just not my idea of a good looking system if that matters any to you. I highly suggest you listen to as many as possible, then decide on the looks and then how much you can afford before jumping into anything. I've seen way too many people buy a system and then turn around and start whinning about the looks, the resonance or fitment and finish because tehy did not do their homework on it.
Good luck

99% of aftermarket exhaust owners will recommend what THEY have on the car. Sound quality is an individual taste, as is the sound quality of aftermarket sterio equipment.

My vote goes towards Power Effects, although I also like Corsa.

Now, the thing that I think is funny....... someone will say that Power Effects is too EXPENSIVE!
Well, isnt that really a relative term? Are you willing to pay for what you like? I was.

Relatively speaking, arent ALL aftermarket systems too expensive...when compared to an already installed stock system?

If you are not sure of what to buy, I would suggest visiting a show and listening to various systems for sound quality, and ask the owners about any quality/installation/maintenance problems. :D
I hear ya Phil.
For the guys running Muff Eliminators, they probably will say anything beyond that and you paid too much.

One thing about the Power Effects that most don't realize. You can buy the L98 system and easily install it on a LT1/LT4 vette. I think PE charges too much for the resonator section. Joe mentioned to me that people have tried that route with bad results. Well, I can tell you for a fact it's easy to do and you shoudl ahve good results as i did. Matter of fact all I did was measure around 10 inches from the stock resonator and cut. Then the PE system slid on snuggly. It aligned perfectly and is very solid. I'm always play around with teh muffler flaps. Fully closed for quite ride, more torq for around town cruising. Open slightly for Friday and Sat night cruising. I also adjust when I'm running the 1/4 mile or autocross events. It does make a difference.
