Car is a 1987 convertible with 63,000 miles and automatic transmission. The "service engine soon" light comes on when I'm driving at highway speeds (doesn't happen around town). I saw a service bulletin summary on the web that might apply: GM87-99 (4/1987):"service engine soon light-code 36 (MAF sensor burn-off fault)-plugged crankase...). Anyone have that TSB?Any help would be appreciated.
Re: Intermittent Service Engine Soon Light (MAINEVETTE87)
This is the TSB that you are referring to:
Service Bulletin Number: 87-99
Bulletin Sequence Number: 050
Date of Bulletin: 8704
NHTSA Item Number: 90918
Make: CHEVROLET
Model: CORVETTE

But you really need to pull the code to find out what is going on, it may just be a code 32. Go to the following link, it explains how to pull and decipher the code, then post back here and we will help you from there... http://www.c4vettes.com/ecm.htm
