FASTEST VETTE EVER
I don't think the aerodynamics of the C5 are good enough.
Only 2 are known to exist. They produced around 560hp.Now as far as
mass produced stock corvettes the 405 Z06 would probably be the fastest.
But the king is STILL the ZL1.Maybe the C6 will dethrone it!

Callaway also back in the day made a twin turbo zr-1, detuned it had around 800hp and with the turbos all the way up it made well over 1000hp now that would be moving.
And I know I wont have any arguments with this statement that the sledgehammer is the fastest (255mph) car ever built that was street legal. Since 1988 no one has be able to beat it in the states.

1)Fastest Stock Vette Ever Produced
I believe the Fastest Stock (non-turner) vette on the top end is still the 1990 ZR-1.
RPO B2K = 191.5 mph 1989 Aerobody Coupe.
I had considered RPO B2K = a tuner car. ;)
Sweet ride you have there by the way!!!!! :yesnod:

Second Fastest is an LPE-TT 223 MPH
1/4 mile, it would have to be that insanely quick twin turbo tubbed red one(video in drag racing section) that runs 4 seconds in the 1/8th at near 150 mph.

I had considered RPO B2K = a tuner car. ;)
...but since it has an RPO #, it is not
Similar statment could be made about an lt5 - Both powerplants had GM's guidance to a certain extent...
In fact, during the early 80's, GM tried building their own turbo Vette's but none of them seemed to live long, etc. They tried both Turbo V6 and Turbo V8's.
I will also add that the Twin Turbo engines that Lingenfelter "built" for the Sledgehammer were not used for the top speed run - It was a CALLAWAY engine , as the LPE motors did not hold together.
Callaway is exteremly accurate in stating what the car should run, prior to actually testing the machine - Sledgehammer was noted to be able to go 252mph and was blessed with a few more on top of that - with that said, the Fuscia Super Speedster (series II) has a theoretical top speed of 300 mph. I say theoretical because it has no roof and drag would be a huge factor. If they could only get a top to stay on it  (That car is one of the Twin Turbo LT5 based powerplants Callaway built.)
Enjoy!
