Okay Guys. Thanks for all your input with regards to mufflers. I'm set on the Flowmasters for several reasons. Anyone have photos of these installed? Without tips, with tips? Thanks again. :flag :flag
Had flowmasters installed about 9 months ago. Love em'. There is a pic on my website below. Those are the standard tips that come with the 'flowmaster premium corvette mufflers' - basically 50 series delta flow w/ SS tips.

No pics...but I kept the LT1 tips. It looks about the same as stock from the back, except the Flowmasters aren't as fat as the stock mufflers. And the sound is meaner :reddevil.
You'll notice a big resonance at around 1900 RPM's that you'll get used to...or won't get used to . Also, the stock mufflers probably weigh about twice as much.

Re: Flowmasters (Rizcoms91)
I just checked and dont have any close up pics of the Flows on my '91. But generally speaking thye look like any other Flowmaster with dual outlets. I hate the 1800-2200 rpm resonance but other than that I love them. That being said though Im seriously about installing a set of Corsas on it. I was drafting a C5 on the last So Cal Cruize and his Corsas sounded schweeeeet!!!
(and to the inevitable person that has to tell me Corsa doesnt make a system for L98's...yes I know that. But I have talked to other L98 owners that have installed them and they say theyre awesome!)
Thanks again for the help. One more. Are the Flowmasters in Corvette Mall to the left the same as the Flowmasters Series 50?????????
Okay, sorry I don't have any pictures of mine, but I can assure you, I have gotten many complements on what I had done with my flowmaster mufflers. I had a local muffler shop weld on the Borla square intercooled tips (a single tip for each tailpipe off the muffler, 4 tips total) so that they protude approximatey an inch from the rear bumper. Kinda gives the ZR-1 look, with a good shine that goes well with a white Vette. I believe I got mine from Summit Racing for around $30 per tip. Well worth it!!! Regards - - - :seeya
About 2 months ago I had a set of series 50s put on. i had the original C4tips welded back on and the whole set-up paint with Hi Temp Black paint. IMO it looks sweet on sounds great. Not as loud as my loudmouth on my SS, but sweet.
Resonance is a problem with the 40 series. Wish I had installed the 50 series. Had the tips made and welded on. Wish they were a bit farther back under the car. They do sound great..

Here is my car with flows (catback force II's) and aftermarket tips. Sweet sound and a better look than the short Corsa. These stainless steel tips are 8 1/2 " compared to Corsa's 4" tips.
PS. Since we have the same car it should be easy to make your choice
40 series (all flowmasters really look the same) with stock tips installed
Hi Nathan,
My son wanted to put Flowmasters on his '92 but didn't want to put the entire cat-back system offered by Flowmaster - and since they don't offer a direct fit muffer (of any type) for the '92, I'm wondering if you custom-installed your Flowmasters? If you did, do you remember the model # you used?
I believe the 2 1/2" pipe is the restriction for the '92 vs '91, right?
Straight pipes here, way better then Flowmasters. Oh did I mention I had them for a couple of days now and I got 2 alarms to go off. :yesnod:
What are you- 16? I bet you're looking to slap some 6" pipe on back too, right? How about a screaming chicken decal for the hood of the Trans Am? Dingo boots? Butchy goatee? Dude- you're awwwwweeesuuummeee........ :D
Got my 50 Series Flowmasters from CorvetteCentral. $299 + $20 ship.
Did the swap/installation myself. Easy easy job - no welding needed.
Dual Steel tips....take time to paint them with black engine paint before installation...the flowmaster factory gray paint is crap(they'll flash/rust in a hurry if ya don't).
Good even sound at all rpms(zero drone).
I like mine......good luck.

Links,
You are correct that mine are custom installed. Any good muffler shop can do it very quickly. I don't remember the exact part number but they are 40 series 2 1/2 inch offset in, center out. The 2 1/2 is slighly smaller than the stock pipes but it can be expanded to fit easier than the 3 inch could be shrunk.

Umm, you could just go to hell, Just because I'm 16 does that mean I go by the Ricers rule? You full of S H I T :cuss :cuss
