Had some bad hail in North Texas last week. "R" Malibu took some obvious hits. Hail was pea to golfball size here. A LOT of marble size. The Vette doesn't dent like metal, so what kind of damage should I be looking for. I'm going to take it in to have it checked out, but would like to know in advance. I'm seeing areas on the the hood that should be flat and smooth and I've seeing waves in the paint and this isn't orange peel. :mad No obvious fiberglass cracks.......yet.
What were you doing leaving the vette outside :jester
lots of my coworkers and relatives had their cars dented as well, body shops are gonna be busy for a while.
Yeah. Unfortunately I don't have a garage or covered parking here at this apartment. :( I've got an appointment with the person that does my work to look it over tomorrow. I'm in no hurry to have it done and will wait till the shops slow down so they aren't rushed.

That apartment looks familair. It's not on park, across from PSHS, is it?

Ouch! I'm sorry to hear about the hail  I hope the damage isn't too bad, though :blueangel: When I used to have my '95 Z28, and my dad had a yellow '96 Corvette (not the one I have now), he insisted he put the Corvette outside when it hailed... of course the sheetmetal on the Z28 would have been beaten. But we insulated the cars outside, anyway, with blankets and towels, so it was no big deal, although I did spend part of the next day cleaning black imprinting off the yellow Corvette... never put a wet blanket with blank imprinting on a light-colored car in the rain.
Good news and bad. The Vette looks like it made it through. Only minor and very un-noticable damage on the black molding around the glass.
Approximately $3500-$4000 worth a damage on the Malibu. :cry Haven't decided yet whether to go paintless or to have it completely redone. Advantages to both.
