Waved at a guy w/ a C5 at a Gas station the other day as he was pulling out and I was pulling in....he looked right at me and didn't wave back, didn't even acknowledge my existence. I am not worthy in my little C4.
LOL, same here. Saw four vettes today, two C-5's, no wave. Two C-4's. one white coupe, one yellow convertible, looked just like mine before the Greenwood kit. Both waved.
:yesnod:
I've been waving for a long time. I can remember waving to MG TD's when there were a lot of them on the road.
But I don't wave just to get a wave back. I dont' collect waves or no waves. I wave because I want to wave.
Remember - The wave is its own reward! When it stops being fun, stop doing it.
Well, I give up. Here in Dead Moines, it has definitely stopped being fun. I have decided the only time I will wave at another vette driver is when I'm out of town or on the highway, far away from these "local yokels", who simply give you a blank stare when you wave at them.
Keep wavin'... I don't keep score, and wave whenever I see another Vette.
I remember riding shotgun with my father in his '67 coupe and asking "Who was that?" after he received a wave from a fellow enthusiast. his answer was always "I don't know, thats just what Corvette guys do." Never really made a lot of sense until years and years later when I became an owner myself.
Great. Here we go again with the negitive replies, and the rolling eyes.....Its true here too, C5 people don't usually wave....and the wave does make sense. I wish more people would wave to each other...corvette or not. But, Corvette people have a shared interest that only we can understand. Its kind of deflating to think that "the Wave" might be dying.... :(

25 years ago in my C3 I got a wave from every Vette I passed, period. However, didn't come upon one all that often. On a nice day now I'll pass 5 in an hour. It's distressing when I don't get a wave back, but I figure I'm educating them. Never want the wave to die.
