When I got my '85 I was scared of it. Too high tech or so I thought. Had ECM replaced with $2000 worth of people messing with it. I knew what it was but was sure my "old knowledge" was wrong. But I was right. The "pick-up coil" in the distributor was cracked and caused backfire, sputter, miss etc when accelerating. 30bucks instead of 2000. Imagine that. Check your "corvette specialty shop" before you go. The name don't make the shop. :mad

Nope, haven't replaced the ECM in my '85. Maybe the previous owner did. :D

About 2 months ago had to replace my ECM in my 95 when the PCM from hypertech got water into it and sent 1.1 gigawatts of electricity to my ECM. :mad
