there's one of those on ebay right now, a dark blue 84. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...&category=6168
doesn't look to bad, but not for me. i agree that a real c5 would be a better choice. welcome to the forum
oh my God. $20k for a 100k mile 84 with ceasefire injection and 10 million squeaks and rattles, or 18-20k for a 100k mile 97 LS1. Tough choice.
I just want to know who in there right mind would sink all that cash into a poopiefire injection 84? That is just crazy talk.. The end result IMHO isn't too terrible looking but as far as mechanically sound... what a nightmare. They can go ahead and sell crazy to someone on ebay though.. people will buy anything on there. :D
Looks good....FOR ME TO POOP ON! :reddevil

I agree with what some say, it is your car do what you want with it. BUT! if you wanted the C5 look the best thing to do is buy a C5. I bought my my 92 with 96k on it for $11,000.00. I feel I got a good deal. I would be willing to bet that after the conversion was done you would have at least five grand in the conversion. You could sell your car then buy a C5. It's painting an orange red so it will look like an apple, it's all fruit, but they're just not the same. Just my opinion.
It's the sophomore jinx. It seems like every last-generation Corvette sees its share of junked-up, body-kitted, custom-painted orphans. Then someone buys it cheap a decade later and restores it and has a nice story to tell about they had to hunt down the original parts. The moral of the story is: leave it stock because it will end up that way either way. But, ultimately it's your car and it's made for having fun! :seeya
