I inadvertantly posted this on the C5 page. Excuse me. Boy did I get it about the wave factor.

I'm the proud owner of a 95 - I've wanted one every since I was in high school. I recently went on a road trip from San Diego to Sacramento. With th eexception of the slow and go traffic through LA I had an excellent experience. I've had my 95 since November 2000.

It's a shame I had to wait until I was 50 in order to realize my dream. I will always have one in my stable. I've restored numerous cars/trucks over the years, but I've always wanted to own a Corvette.

During the Easter break I took the Corvette to a family reunion. Never again, with six brothers, me being the oldest, they thought it was a toy. It isn't! And if it is, it's my toy. It's an adrenalin/testosterone producer. At first I was afraid of it, but now after driving it a while, it's the poopies...

I wave at all Corvette drivers, however they are few and far in between. On the way up I didn't see any Corvette's on the highway. On the way back I saw one C5, and he didn't return my wave.

I'm proud to be a member of this forum.

Congratulations. I know how you feel. I bought mine at 50 also. Ever since the TV show "Route 66" I always said someday. Keep on waving!

 

I bought my vette at the age of 43, I am 44 now.

 

:seeya Got mine at 43. Went up to a guy in a C5. I said "Nice vette". He grunted. I said " What color is that?". He said "Red something or something red". I bet everyone of you know what color your vette is. Of course, in this guys defense, I think his clothes cost more than my vette. (Please note: NOT a bash on C5's or thier owners)

 

ok, all that waving smiley is getting old.

 

I am 50 also; bought my 91 last spring, sight unseen. Enjoy your new avocation and remember that time spent with your corvette is not deducted from your life........ :thumbs:
