Does anyone have a "corvette" rear lettering kit on their car? I was wanting to see one that is the brakelight color. Did not know if it would look cheesy or if did not fit good. I was looking in the Ecklers catalog and thought the red brakelight color would look good on my white vert.
It worked well on the front, going into the impression, but on the back, the mylar letters were not exactly the same size as the emblem. They didn't last long; the excess would snag on cleaning mits, polishing cloths, etc. and even pick up dirt. Even trimming them myself didn't seem to get them just right.
I have it on mine check em out.........these are the acrylic letters they look like a chrome overlay go them off ebay
Just make sure you take off the plastic covering when you put them on......left mine on for weeks til I discovered that they had a protective layer on them........
Here's black (vinyl letters) on white... overcast day, but you'll get the idea.
If you put these on, the trick is to get the area heated (couple hours in the sun works great) then attach the letters using a simple kitchen spatula to rub all the air/bubbles out. Car has had over 50 washes since letters applied and they look perfect!
I bought the same lettering kit from ecklers but I got spectrum chrome. The letters a very nice quality and look great. IMHO I think the brake light red would look great on your white vette.
