It is a 19 year old car with no unique qualities to prop up its value.

Although it was the first of the C4 gen...there is still quite a few of the C4 out there to be had. Resale value on just about anything right now is low as before mentioned. The market is also flooded with tons of used cars!!
I would hang onto it and restore it. You still will be the envy of alot of people in a few more years with an '84 vette to cruise in!

If your looking @ kelly blue book through it out. NADA is alot closer to what it's worth. But you still won't be happy.

If you are a car dealer, add a warranty and profit.....NADA can give you a false sense of reality. My 92 would go for MAYBE $13-$14K and NADA has it at over $17K.

Just FYI

first, why do think it's low? What is it and what do you expect it to be?

It is a 19 old car, they sold lots of them and there are still plenty of good examples around.

There were more '84 vettes sold than any other year for one thing. Another is because nobody like the Cross fire Injection(although most loved it in 1982).

I believe ALL 84 models (American made) have a "low" resale value :jester
