Has anybody here ever installed or know about those antenna switches that Corvette Central advertises? I don't listen to the radio much, but I do use the hell out of the CD/Tape player, and there is no sense in the antenna going up to listen to a CD or a tape. I'm wondering how hard are those switches to install, and where do you put them?
I just used a toggle switch and mounted it in the panel behind the ALDL connector. Wired it in to the pink antenna wire behind radio. I have only used that switch twice !! :D
on most aftermarket stereos, there is a power antenna lead, just be sure to hook that up, and as long as you dont turn the radio itself on, you should be ok
i know the alpine i have in mine never raises the antenna until i set it to radio, and thats how i have it wired
