Default Where is my O2 sensor ?

I’ve searched through the manual – plenty of info on the O2 sensor but can’t find where it is.

There is a sensor on the bend in the LH exhaust, is that the O2 sensosr or an exhaust gas sensor ? Should there be one on the RH side ?

TIA

 Depending on the year of your vehicle, you have either one or two

They are(it is) located just below the connection with the exhaust manifold in the Y Pipe.

It will be the only device with a wire coming out of it that you will see in your exhaust pipe :D

Oops, sorry, I forgot to put my year, jackdaroofer, I read your post a while back about that – good idea (mine’s an 88)

Thanks for the info, the local exhaust shop are making up a new pipe for me tomorrow as the LH one has blown through. They are planning to weld a nut onto the pipe for the sensor . ( I’m a long way from any Corvette parts stockist.)

They mentioned that the sensor has to be the correct distance inside the pipe so it sounds as if they know what they’re doing…………..!

BTW - My engine bay is still looking good from the one spray of Armorall Tyre spray, I’ve told lots of people about it, thanks again.

Vizkiz first, you should have only one and it should be about 6" or less below the junction of the manifold and the engine pipe

S'nut, same thing

I appreciate your giving me credit for the armor all thing...but I don't think it was me :blueangel:

I use Pledge under the hood...actually I am not a big armorall fan...but hey, if it works, I am glad I recommended it :D :D :D

I'm not too sure about that. My O2 sensor is on the driver's side, and one of my father's friends has an 84 with the O2 sensor on the passenger side.
