called to have my windshield replaced today. He said it is going to be $195.00 for the windshield. Then $50.00 inter molding. Then there is a foam seal on the inside of the windshield. Two of them at $200.00 apiece. $645.00 to replace the windshield. Where can a person buy the inter soft foam seals instead of the glass shop. Is there anything on these Vetts that doesn't take my paycheck every week???
:iagree:
The total bill on my 96 windsheild replacement came to 220.00. Try calling a large local corvette dealership. I called Corvette's of Houston and they gave me the number to the shop that did mine. That way you get an experienced guy who has a good rep with other corvette people.
Guess thats what they mean when they say "Corvette Tax".......
anyway seems fair enough.......but I would check out other places to do this ...
Just my simple thoughts......
Up to now nothing has been simple....and or cheap on my vette.....
But.................it sure has been fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good Luck

Well calling the GM dealer and finding out who does there work payed off big time. So the advice was right on guys. $294.50 compleat out the door. Half what a glass shop wanted. And most of them had only done one or two Vetts in there life. and being a GM subcontractor gives me a good warrenty. :iagree:
