I got nailed having fun with an 03 Cobra two weeks ago. We were not racing, just having fun back and forth with one another. We never went WOT. Well we were pulled over. Several cars back was an unmarked Sherriff. He got us both and called for local police. We each received "speed not reasonable" and "unauthorized speed contest" tickets. Last night was my last court appearance. They dropped the unauthorized speed contest(a misdemeanor) and fined me $80 for the other ticket. It also came with 3 points. Ouch. So, my spotless license of 15+ years is out the window. A defensive driving course will wipe the points. That's where I am headed. :( As title said...lesson learned.
You'll notice you haven't seen me on the forum much lately. I've been pretty busy lately, going back to my old job (which ironically is where I used to spend most of my time on the forum) and getting ready to go back to school, etc. I've also "grown up" a lot with my driving. I guess I just realized that it's not worth the risks and I would rather keep the car than wreck it for some stupid reason. At this point I'm content just to drive to work and back.
I still love the car but from an obsession standpoint I've "gotten bored" with it I guess you could say. I honestly can't even remember the last time I washed it. :smash:
Live and learn I guess. It really isn't worth it. I don't have anything to prove.
