I used to have a Piper Pa-28-160 Cherokee. The bug is biting me again. But the Vette would have to go to afford another one. Tough one. Need to find a way to have both :reddevil
P.S. these planes price out in the mid $30,000 range, so its not like I'm rich or anything...
Plane over Vette, when was the last time you saw a plane cruisin to a show, ever see plane owners wave at each other, 1/4 mile run, burnouts, can't rev at ricers in an airplane, I just don't see the good things... JMO :D
Get the plane. When was the last time you did a touch and go in the Vette. You can cruise at 10,000 ft in plane. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy my Vette, but nothing can touch the view from 5,000 ft on a clear day.
Been in both, a Corvette is more fun most of the time. Go for the gold and have both your way!! Time will work for you if you wait long enough. :auto: :D
More like 5,500 ft in a Cherokee 160, but still a great view! I once had my '67 160 (140 w/ 160stc)up to 10,500' solo, humid July dog-day. Not sure she would have gotten there with passengers though...
I'd rather have a 180 but that's about an extra $20,000 in price for just the 20 extra ponies and resultant extra 200lbs or so of useful load (and we think Vette hp is expen$ive...)
I can't drive a plane to work every day. So my vote goes for the Vette. In the end do what your heart desires. Once a vette owner always a vette owner.

Anything mechanical is subject to failure. I have had several vehicles stop running but never fell 10,000 ft. just coasted to a stop and got out.
You can have the plane I'll keep my vette. :auto:
i always have to weigh the trade offs when picking toys cuz im just a poor hard working type of guy.
what i judge by (lately) is just how much use am i gonna get outta the thing.
like my motorhome, its for sale-never used it in 2 years now.
snowmacines..same thing,1000 miles on each in 2 seasons.heck with it.selling them too this fall.
custom built 1 ton hunting rig with 44 in. tractor tires...been flying out last 3 seasons, sold it last month.
so with that train of thought, decide which one you would use the most and then get them both :jester sell some of the other treasure you never use anymore :)
