Default LOWERED C4 pics...HELP

Hey, Im trying to decide wether or not to drop my car. Ive only seen a couple pics on here so this is my rrquest to see more.

Im looking for any pics of a lowered C4, either by using the kits from Ecklers or MadVet, or something homebrewed...lol..!

When you post a pic please state how you did it, and any regrets.

Thanks
Tommy --

Nice ride.!!

I have alot od room between my tires and my Fenders, like alot of room!

About 2.5 -3" on front &back!

Could be the CHEAP SH!+ Gabriel Shox too. Would KBD or Putting Bilsteins back on lower it?

shocks shouldn't lower your car, or raise it, all they do is dampen the spring movement :yesnod:

I would only lower the rear next time, the ride quality in th front suffered some. Plus lowering the front is a major job.

I lowered both the front and back with the kit from MAD. As stated earlier the front is a PIA but I feel it was worth it. If you dont want to take the rubber that is attached to the spring off you could just take out the spacer that is on it. If I recall correctly that would only take out about 3/8 of an inch.

Check out the other pics on my web site.

Make a WTB post in the parts for sale/wanted section. I've seen brand new whole kits for like, $10.00 there.

Front lowered by removing most of upper spring mount and shortening mount bracket. :smash:

Rear lowered by replacing rear bolts with alloy ready rod, :smash:

Total cost=$15 :smash:

 :smash:

See sig pic. the cornering shot helps make it look lower though.

I used a standard MAD kit. No regrets here. It does get to be a PITA if I use the car during the week to go to work though.

See sig. Z51s ride higher because the shocks are gas charged. I've seen stock non-z51 vettes that sit lower than mine.

BTW, get rid of that stupid sig! Or at least only post it once per thread, like a decent human being. :nono:

lol, ok guys no fighting, i shortened my sig somewhat.

But, I have Gabriel Shocks on now that replaced the 'steins. I think there oil filled. only 12.00 apeice....lol Wish I hadnt bought them! I was looking for the reason the car as so uncontrollable when I first got it. I thought it was shox, so I replaced em. Turns out the previous owner had a bad set of tires on it. He actaully rotated em, opposite corner style.

I lowered the rear a little over an inch just to level it out a bit. I'm happy with the results....it got rid of the 4x4 look :yesnod:
