I use Gliptone leather conditioner; though I've used the MaGuires too.
I apply it to a Bounty, wipe it in thoroughly to all the leather. Then I go back over with a clean paper towel and buff hell out of it. This removes any excess and tends to work it into the material.
I use Lexol and though it says to wipe on and then off I let it sit until the next week or so when I drive it again. Then it gets wiped off just by sitting on it. Seats on both the 88/95 look new as did the old, now sold 85. Do this about every month or two.
When the mother-in-law wants a ride I use Armoral on the passenger seat with a disconnected seat belt: )
I never put any of that stuff on my leather seats. Imho it eventually weakens the leather and contributes to breakdown of the leather. Plus, the residue gets on your clothes.
I use only a damp cloth to wipe my leather seats. You'd think the leather seats in my 140,000 mile 1995 Volvo were brand new.
I use the Meguire's myself. I spary on in generous amounts, let sit while I spray down rest of interior, then wipe clean. It looks great, you can see results via my link, but I must say, it doesn't seem to keep the "polished" look as long as I would like.
This stuff is really good but it's a ritual applying it.. Zaino leather cleaner and treatment is good too! Smells great!
You might also try 'Klasse' The BMW guys around here swear by it. A little expensive though. I have all of 'em I can't really say which one is better though.
No matter the brand I rub it in with bare hands for 10-15 minutes per bucket. I then do the other bucket. Before it is totally dry, maybe an hour later(depends how often seats are conditioned or condition(very dry) seats are in) I buff it to a shine. I would do this on a monthly basis, the seats dry out very fast and my car spends it life in the garage.

Re: Leather conditioner (95ZR1#418)
:yesnod: If you let it dry out you're screwed, it's down hill from there, cracking then spliting and you can't re-hydrate it. Keep it moist an supple and it will last a long time. (sounds kind of suggestive :D )
I use Formula 2000 by Turtle Wax. Spray on and let it stand for about 20 minutes. It really permeates the leather and leaves behind a deep, rich shine plus UV protection.
For quick touch-up between interior detailings, I use Lemon Pledge.
