Would it make you feel any better if I told you that I've never actually seen Miami Vice?
WHAT?? That's one of the best 80's shows around! And a great show if you like cars, too. Hey, I'm only 25, but I remember watching Miami Vice when it came on at night (well, when my parents weren't home, 'cause they didn't want me to watch it).
The Ferrari Daytona Spider that Crocket drove was actually a kit car made from a Corvette. I used to have an article about the guy who designed it. He said the hardest part was tuning the 350 V8 exhaust to sound like a Ferrari engine.
It's also interesting to watch the reruns and see all of the now famous people on that show who were far from famous then and only had one minute bit parts.
For all you youngsters out there, I remember sitting around the radio and listing to Big John and Sparky. I also remember listening to the Shaddow. The first television I saw was when I went over to a friends house and they had a big box with a small round yellow screen with a western showing. It was several years later that we got a black and white TV. There were only a few shows and the then the TV went off the air for the night.
I also remember having to run to the OutHouse because we didn't have indoor plumbing yet. I also used to ride on the front fender of our truck with my legs wrapped around the large head light.

Born in 1986...these are the things i have experienced!!!
Hey don't feel bad.. I can remember going out to night clubs dressed like I just walked off the set of Miami Vice. The only problem was my Ferrari was a 79 Z28 Camaro. My girlfriend/future wife of 17 years didn't seem to mind though.
Crap, thks for reminding me that I have only a little over 2 years until my 40! No way! It can't be. If I am lucky, I will have a heart attack before that happens. ... oh wait, liver failure is much more likely, hehe.
PS- I will still look good in my vette until the day I die.
Now, let's see. My first car was a 1932 Plymouth coupe, a year older than I was. No Tv (whatever that was), radio shows: Edgar Bergen and Charlie McCarthy, Fibber McGee and Molly, Inner Sanctum; they were our favorites. My mother's favorite was Mr. District Attorney, every Wednesday night. I listened to that show so many times that I still remember the lead-in" "And it shall be my duty as District Attorney to prosecute within the limiits of the law, all persons perpretating in crimes, and to defend with equal vigor, the rights and privileges of all citizens." Yep, gas was 6 gallons for a dollar then (sigh). How-some-ever, in the twilight (midnight?) of my life, the sheer joy of rowing through the gearbox of my 93 Ruby supasses all and rolls back the years. I just keep grinnin' and keep on spinnin'! YeeeeeeHaw! :steering:

Never cared too much for Batman...too campy, but I did like The Green Hornet with Bruce Lee as Kato.
