Speaker removal?

How do I remove the front left speaker in my 91 C4 coupe? Is it snapped in, screwed in, glued in?????

I need to try my hand at capacitor replacement!

you simply remove the carpeted cover on the sill... a few screws on the outside (against the door) and the cover, the plastic piece that runs up the door jam and it will slip up out of the way.

the enclosure is screwed to the sill... 2 bolts WAY up front, the other too more logically placed... after that... self explainitory.

If the capacitor replacement doesn't fare well, I have some amps from my 91 vert. that I would like to part with.

I have the same problem on my '92 and tried removing the panel, but after I've removed the screws, the panel seems to be held by something by the speaker cover. Is it velcro'd or is there another screw up front?

No screw, but they use a pretty tough mastic type sealer around them, As I recall it has some backing paper (thick) If you are persistant, it will come loose.
