The real tragedy here is that the guy telling the story could have helped and didn't. The reason? He said he was scared of being sued.
Until some things change about our legal system, more and more people will choose "not to get involved". He had plenty of time to grab his camera out of his car and snap 5 or 6 photos though
Sorry, but vette or not, I'm there trying to help this guy save his car (and his life) and I'd worry about the lawyers later. :boxing

Nay, the real tragedy is that someone used their vette for trailing watercraft, and even worse, used it to unload/load them in the water with it! At least ask if you could borrow someone's truck for launching and loading once you got there. Stupidity is expensive.
That is sooo sad..!!!! I used to live in So Fla. and did a lot of boating....belive it or not this is not an uncommon occurance...!!!
:iagree: I live in South Florida and have seen similar things happen as well. As for not stepping in to help out out of fear of being sued...unfortunately, South Florida is full of sue happy people. There are more lawyers in the phone book than there are doctors. Kind of tells you the mentality of most of the people here in S. Florida. :smash:

:withstupid: Why the hell would you tow a trailer with your Vette  :smash: I mean you normally think of a Vette being towed on a trailer (because they're so precious). No one should use a Vette to tow Jet Skis into the ocean :smash: :smash:

Now that is definetly a thing of the past. You will have a hard time finding someone to let you borrow a truck because they fear what could happen. "Sir I am sure I put your truck in drive, but when I pushed the gas, back it went. Now you owe me for my jetski and trailer, my clothes, and you know what, my back is hurting now"
Same reason most won't think of asking to borrow a truck. "Sir, my truck did not have that rip in the seat or that scratch on the tailgate before you borrowed it, I need your info to give to my attorney.
It dang sure shouldn't be like this, but you all know it is.... It sucks when you can't breath easy anymore when you try to help anybody.
