Im buying a replacement dash skeleton, and want to sell mine..Can anyone tell me what they are worth??? Its an 88 , and by the skeleton, i mean the WHOLE FRAME that everything screws to for the dash. Not the panels or pieces, but the frame itself..
Any input anyone has would be great.
1984 and 1985 are one design
The second design is 1986-1989.....Retail they a worth 125-175 and are impossible to find a completely unbroken one....Most are broke "cosmetically" by the drivers side kick panel and steering column where a screw goes into it......Also very difficult to remove without breaking and we do this for a living...They are also very difficult to ship UPS because they are so large...We had a box designed to ship 78-82 Corvette dashes (at the maximum UPS dimensions) and we use that to ship the 84-89 dash frames but even in that box its a gamble whether it will make it to the customer without damaging because of its size. Good Luck!
Speaking of the dash skeleton... I'm in need of one myself. I have a crack on the drivers side kick panel area to the left of the steering wheel. I just wish they made it connected to the kick panel so it could be replaced easily. Instead the whole friggin thing has to come out in order to be replaced. It's a PITA and I'm not too happy about it :mad whoever designed it this way oughta be shot ! :banghead:
