Flat Panels or Bread Boxes, which looks best?
Lots of guys have been modifing their dashes with wood, carbon fibre and other overlays. In most cases the breadbox is discarded in favor of a flat panel. Yet some owners are happy with leaving the breadbox intact.

I would like to have the leather pouch there like my '84 Trans-Am had. Of course it would need to have either the corvette logo or lettering.
It was a good place to keep important papers and such and keep them out of the center console.
Could be my next mod.

I love my bread box. I've also had more than one short stop where the passenger reached forward and I was glad that they had something semi-soft to grab onto instead of punching the dash with their knuckles. I also think the idea of coming to a short stop with someone who won't wear a seatbelt is kind of neat when they see "ETTEV" on their forehead. :D

Here is a picture of what I did to the 88 Coupe after removing the breadbox and inserting a flat panel with CORVETTE lettering.

i love my bread box too...
