brake booster test
I just got a booster from ebay. Can I hook the vac line to it and see if it is good before I pull the old one and make it undrivable? Will stuff fly out or off? Should it hold a vac off car?

I've never tried it off the car, but if you hook it up to the vacuum port it should hold vacuum with the engine running. I don't know what it will do if you try to push the plunger, as it is designed to push the master cylinder.
I would suggest bolting the master cyl. onto the booster, and putting on the vacuum line to test it out.
