Junk it up needs to be qualified. Under my understanding, "junking it up" would include any exterior stuff - wheels, hash marks, etc. But a 383, superam, headers, gears - no one will be able to tell, so no "junk" there!! :seeya
I started out in the "keep it stock" camp, but have since painted it, changed the wheels (90 ZR1 wheels), interior, exhaust and added GS Flares. Do what makes you happy :D
:iagree: "Junk it up" doesn't just mean keep it stock. You should make it the Vette you want and it should look, not like junk, but how you wish. AND as others have said, performance mods don't change any looks, so go right ahead
Also, I currently have this pic as my desktop. I think it shows some obvious changes I've made, but I dare you to call it junk. So make your vette as you wish, but you don't have to remain stock
Since I started this topic., A few clarifications are probably in order.
1.Maybe I used the wrong term "Jazz", but my daughter didn't Junk".
2. What she meant was not to make it look like it came out of Pep Boys shop! and it won't...
3. I already have it totally detailed in and out and under the hood, wheel wells, etc.
4. I gave a Christmas wish list to my family, and if fullfilled the Vette will continue to be an eye catcher.
Thanks for your comments. (I EAT MUSTANGS) :chill:
I recommend you upgrade your wheels (chrome) and chrome tail pipe tips. Otherwise I would leave it stock. It's worth more retail if you keep it stock.
My 2 cents. :flag
Do what you want it's your car. If you don't plan on donating it to a museum
you can add to your vette anything that pleases you. GM looks at cost when
designing a vette and some item are not there for the fact that they're holding the cost down.
Mod on a vette are OK as long as they're not overdone IMHO
As for resale value you can see here on Corvette Forum that what you do to your vette is in the eye of the beholder.
" I'd leave the C4 alone. Maybe you could get "zr1" rims "
I agree, they are great looking cars, AS BUILT. Nice wheels add to the look, Keep away from the "rice-type" aftermarket crap, (wings, ground effects, crazy graffics, ect.) they tend to make the Vette look like it wants to be a Celica.
