Default Jazz a C4 UP ?

I am new to Vette's,but after a long time waiting, I finally got 1.
Do I keep it STOCK, or add a bunch of "Stuff" to it?
My daughter say's "Dad don't junk it up".
What do you think?

depends on the condition of the car IMO

but it's YOUR car... so feel free to do whatever you want (aside from a 280Zx headlight conversion :nono: )

Your daughter is wise beyond her years. :) C5's are for making tacky... I'd leave the C4 alone. Maybe you could get "zr1" rims like everyone else, they look really good.

IMO its ok to do some basic resto, my car came with a body kit and a low wing on it, i like it so i am going to leave it on, Fixing up the interior with nice mats, etc is fairly common-personally I dont care for wood dash kits but to each his own, basically just make it however you are happy with it!

I Agree, "Don't junk it up", but that doesn't mean you can't add any mods. I think it means to only do things tasteful, and leave it looking classy. But things like a new chip or exhaust shouldn't make it junk :)

I, too, think you should listen to your daughter.
That said, you can keep peace in the family by getting her approval on any mods you have in mind. :blueangel:

and welcome to the family.

I agree, your daughter is quite wise, but that doesn't mean you should or should not do some mods to your Vette.

You seem uncertain just now so drive it a while and the path will become clear. When you feel the need to do some mods, just go for it.

I'll have to side with your daughter on this one. You just don't mess with the beautiful, clean lines of the C-4 in my opinion.

To each his own. I personally agree with "Don't Junk it up" but you can tastefully modify a Vette. The only problem is, different taste. I will have "My Vette" by the time it is all said and done. Which means alot of mods. I like having a car that when I look at it, it will bring a smile to face and a BIG GRIN when I drive it.
Most importantly...Enjoy your Vette in anyway thats makes you happy.

Don't junk it up is my opinion. What is so wrong with the way it is? It's the way it was design and what's so wrong with that? Putting on mods is your choice, good luck with your decisions!

Junking it up could mean a whole bunch of stuff.....and there are different extremes. I say do what you like.....what makes you happy. Yes, a corvette looks nice the way it is but why be like the other 90% of the vettes. If you wanna make a statement...then do it with pride.

I personally come from the ole school of making it look stock, but having a lot more under the hood. Nothing wrong with making her sound meaner, either. Wheels, I like the ZR1 types, but this is another personal thing. Just don't "rice it up" :auto:

I like the look of a stock C4, but it is your car after all, I suppose you can do what you like.

Since you are or your gonna be up to your butt in snow, I would check out the exhaust system. Since you have a 92, I would check the pre-cats and cat, prolly put a cat-back system on it.(do a search on tips and tip length and tip position to help with resonance) Your prev post questioned brake pads. I'm going with PFC pads on all four corners next time around. While your doing the pads, maybe paint the calipers, polish the a-arms and spit shine the engine compartment. Clay bar the car before you polish it. Then when the snow melts, you can drive to find what other mods you might want to do. Just keep them under the hood.
Have fun!

Thank's All, for the input. The majority say's "Keep it stock",as does my daughter.
As a result,I will "POLISH & SHINE",although is not easy to keep a "black Vette" looking as it should,I enjoy doing it.
The engine is already spotless,I'll do some performance mods, and leave the exterior "Stock",
Thanks again!!

Well do not junk it up ... just for the sake of spending money ... but as you drive it add the mods that you NEED ... yes even that is subjective ... but let it come naturally.

On a C4 the wheels is routinely a first consideration. Many options are available!
