What did you use to do that? I cleaned my diff when I had it out to do the poly bushings and it didn't look anything like that when I was done.
Looks great!

Re: Project Cleanup (Midnite 88)
Here is my secret. Well, not really a secret any more. Shh, don't tell anybody.
The wheels come in three "grits" and for the stubborn stuff and steel, I use the fine wire wheels. BTW remember to wear a dust mask. :yesnod:

Thanks! Sorry to hear you have some extra work ahead to remove the paint. Yes, the wheels hold up well. The job is just starting and there is no sign of deterioration from the wheels.
The wheels were purchased from OSH for about 6-7 bucks apiece. The wires cost about 2.50
Good luck!

Re: Project Cleanup (JrRifleCoach)
On my 85 the whole undercarrige was painted with under coating even the rearend.so far i stripped it off all the inner fenders and front susp. just pulled the rearend out lastweek and cleaned and polished it looks sweet.Painted my calipers red. Next i'll remove the bracket that holds the rearend in clean and polish. Probly extreme but WTF nothing better to do.
