Default Ecklers Bites

This is a rant
Dec.9 Order two weatherpack connecters and vette baseball cap.
Dec. 29 Phone to check on order, informed they split it up and Dec15 cap was shipped, Dec.22 connectors were shipped. Two shipping charges :mad
Jan. 7 connectors show up. 84 cents to ship by mail.
Still no sign of cap :smash:
Today credit card bill shows up and the charged me $8 bucks to ship the connectors and $7 bucks to ship cap
This has cost me $57 canadian and all I have are 2 plastic connectors.
I'll get over it :mad
Have a nice day :D

Have heard of bad time at Echlers... Can't help you on the baseball cap, but for weatherpack connectors, go to: http://www.haywireinc.com

Great price and shipped immediately...

Ugh. Gotta love those split up shipments.. Happened to me (At Amazon, but still the same situation), where a $50 order cost me over $100 cause the items shipped from 10 different locations :smash:

I have a rant as well about Heckler's. They advertise new clutch slave cylinder ON SALE, I order it and wait 1 1/2 weeks only to find out after finally calling them that they actually don't have any, never did, and have NO IDEA when the shipment will arrive at their warehouse :mad :cuss

Heckler's just went to the bottom of my lists for parts sources.

My business all goes to ZIP anyways. I've heard a lot of horror stories about Ecklers since buying my car and haven't placed a single order with them. ZIP's made a couple of mistakes, but they own right up to them

You have every right to be upset about this. Try to keep it in perspective. My hope for you is that this is the worst thing that happens to you in 2004.... :yesnod:

Wow that sucks; in cases where double shipping will substantially increase shipping charges the company should contact the recipient for authorization.

I deal with Summit for most non-Vette specific parts, with the exception of valve train items. The treatment from Comp. Cams was supurb.

For most all Vette items I go to Contemporary Corvette or MAD.

Remember, you are on the other side of the border, I know with UPS, shipping is a pain with customs and all that, don't know about the US Mail.

I've always had 1st class service from Ecklers. Split shipments were always covered with one shipping charge. :hurray:

Oh yea. I'm not a happy summit customer either. Last year I placed my firsts order with then, an order for some $19 spark plug wires. You get free shipping!! Whoo Hoo! To bad they tacked on a $15 handling charge that I didn't know about until I got the paper invoice. That cost them any future business with me.

What burns my butt, when an order comes across the border into Canada, customs looks at it and then makes me pay the GST and PST.

I can live with that, well, just barely ......... BUT .......... they charge me another $5.00 because I'm paying the taxes ...... GRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!

Ron in Ontario ... :mad

I love the way they tack $5 and two taxes on everything that crosses the border. Heck the exchange rate is punishment enough :mad :smash:
In the early 70's the canadian dollar was worth more than the american dollar. What happened :smash: :smash: :smash:
Oh yeah, 6 weeks and I'm still waiting for the C4 baseball cap from Ecklers.

Ok, new bets are on... What'll happen first:

1. He'll get his baseball hat
2. The Poor Man's Carport will collapse

Get your bets in now!!

My money is on the cap. I phoned them today and they said they would ship another one.
But now I'm worried I'll see another charge for cap and shipping on my Amex :smash:

After 5 weeks of floating in postal outerspace, the cap has landed.
Another $10 duty and taxes before the postman would give me the cap :smash:
Clost to $50 canadian when it's all said and done :mad
Nice freakin cap though :jester
