Winter. I've had it! I have this great car (that's in the garage) and yet I am stuck driving the "beater." And it's only mid January!!! I don't think I'm gonna make it, either. The garage is not heated, so it's not like I can go out and work on the car. I just get to see it whenever I take the garbage out.
What does anyone else do during the long and (boring) winter months?
Fondly remember all the good cruising that we did when it was warmer. Absence makes the heart grow fonder. I find that when something is not available that you want, it makes it even sweeter when you have it back. I guess and older-age look at this type of thing tempers the urges to be depresed about it.
We also snowmobile so we get our "go-fast" kicks other ways. Nothing like doing 80-90 on a smooth trail or side road with no seatbelt (or doors, roof, etc.) to wake up the senses.
Let's see, I insert the keys to one of the vettes in the proper car, turn it and the engine starts. Then I get in and drive it. Oh and I put the heater on full blast. Simple concept really, driving a car.

i keep one in the garage, and the other i drive all winter long :D and i must say, for being a vette, the 86 drives exceptionally well in 3" of snow

That's not such a bad idea, having a 'winter vette' to drive. Even if I did, with my drive, the hill, and the ice covered streets, I don't think I'd get too far! It's tough getting through the winter, I guess a good outlet it this forum and the nice people we get to know, and have more time to get to know, since we are not out driving!

I go out to The Poor Man's Carport and work on the vette.
Just finished my first project. Making air pump eliminator bracket.
Then I come back in and thaw out while consuming copious amounts of red wine :jester
