I have B&B's on my 92 vert and the fit and finish (polished stainless steel) is great. This is a 3" set and there is a fair amount of resonance inside at 55-65MPH. With the top down, most of that disappears. The sound is a deep mellow tone, just enough to turn heads and get nice comments.
The Borlas I have heard seem to have more of a European-type note to them. I don't care for the tips they use, but that's just my $.02.
Corvette Fever did a test a few years ago on a LT-1 C4 and the B&B was at the top of the heap for HP increase (think it was 10HP and 15-20 ft-lbs of torque). They also had the highest sound output of any of the other systems tested. The test was Borla's, Flowmaster, B&B, Walker and Power Effects.
B&B now makes a 2.75" system that is supposed to reduce the resonance and you can swap the resonator for an X-pipe when you order.
Borlas sound better then stock. Fit and finish is not as good at the B&B as the welds on the Borlas tend to be weak. Looks wise the B&B wins hands down as it is a fully polished system, beautiful to look at. The Borlas look better the stock, but pales in comparison to the B&B sysytem
Sound wise, the B&B is deeper and louder then the Borlas. Much better sounding IMHO. The looks and sounds of the B&Bcome at the price of much more resonance then the Borlas. This is most noticible (if not down right annoying) when in 6th around 55-60 mph.
If I had to decide again, B&B all the way; the radio drowns out the resonance very well.
I'm wondering if this is a fair comparison as B&B is about twice as expensive as Borla unless you guys know where to find a B&B system cheaper than the nearly $1,000 setup I see from vendors like Ecklers.

go back and read the article again. PE was on top. By 1-3 HP and torq. :D

I respect your opinion guys. as at Mid America, there is only a $50 difference between the two (Borla at $650 for the Y and mufflers combined, B$B 700) so I think i've made my choice...
Indy car racer Billy Boat (B&B) makes a beautiful exhaust system. He does the design work himself. Personaly I prefer to support open wheel racers :yesnod: so I would go with B&B. :D
