60 years old and finally able to get my first vette. This January when it was about 10 degrees out (but sunny) I decided to take my 89 vert for a ride. I wanted to put something in the rear storage area. When I released the rear latch and attemped to fold the top the rear plastic window cracked (frozen and brittle) is there any way I can at least temporarily repair (not duct tape)

Re: did something stupid (RBed)
Just wanted to welcome you to the forum and congrats on Vette ownership. My two obsessions! Don't know anyway to repair that but maybe someone will. :seeya
Congrats on you new toy :hurray:
My rear plastic window on my jeep cracked 2 years ago :smash:
I put a clear tape used to repair greenhouse plastic, over the 16" crack.
Still there

Rule of thumb around here in the winter is never put your top down if it's below 32-35... (around here being my house).
Welcome to the Forum and congrats on your new Vette.
It looks like you already have the answer to your problem, so I'll just invite you to come out the Raceway Park in Englishtown, NJ for the 1st Corvette Challenge event on Mar. 13th. Even if you just come to watch you can meet some nice guys and see some fine Corvettes.
They will also have a Show & Go later this season.
Welcome to the forum and to the Vette family. You can never be too old to enjoy the world of Corvettes. I don't think it was stupid, just the need for the wind ijn your hair :auto: :auto: :auto:
Welcome-great guys and girls on the forum :) I hope we never do a "stupid poll" I'd be right at the top :cuss , but the folks on the forum give a sense of hope. I know if I have a problem, complaint or rant-I don't have to pay a shrink :D
