I have started having trouble with my 96. I had to put a brake booster and water pump. It seems like every time that I drive it, I have to do some work. What other problem should I expect? I am thinking of moving up to a C5, any thoughts would be appreciated.

If there are no other symptoms don't sweat things. I'm going through the same kind of thing with my '95. I guess that's what happens when the previous owners let things slide. Just think; with the few things your fixing up the car will better than new. :yesnod:

Expect an intake manifold leak. The LT-1's and LT-4's are notorious for this. Water pump is the other item so you should be good. Keep all the vital fluids fresh and clean.

C-5's are nice but they still have thier share of problems.
Corvettes are fairly expensive to keep up.
How many miles?
0-100,000 is usually a free ride. Local makes a big difference on repairs.
Cold wet climates are hard on cars. Bad roads take thier toll.

My 93 has over 110,000 miles with only basic repairs, brakes, tires, tune up, battery. Original opti-spank, trans, bearings, etc.

Some folks are hard on thier cars and that takes a toll. Others dont' maintain thier cars. If you have all the service done on your it should last quite a while.

Don't get "bumbed out" over a few repairs that need to get done.

Enjoy the Corvette.
