Well after many years of dreaming, manual labor, saving and then over another half a year after purchasing, I finally visited the DMV and acquired my tags for my 1985 Corvette. The sky was cloudy and mist was in the air but I had put too much work into this moment, there was nothing that could dampen my spirits. A flip of the ignition and a rumble from the L98 beast could be heard and felt throughout the land. Man was it an awesome feeling!!! The quick pull on the lamp switch, flipped the headlights on and had many on lookers smiling at the coolness factor of such an invention. I only drove about ten miles but I got soo many admiring looks especially when I pulled up next to a silver Mustang GT.... The quality of the ride was surprisingly smooth except the front wheels need alignment (they were pulling to the left and any bump we went over they followed everywhere except where I wanted to go). It's a completely different feel in a Corvette. Your butt feels only atoms away from the blurry pavement, you are one with the steering and ultra quick response, the perfectly accurate digital dashboard attempting to outshine my grin and the amazing soundtrack from the nearly 'adult' twenty-year old 350 small block V8. This is certainly the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

You'd get an A+ if that were a school essay (IMO). But on the other hand you made me miss my vette even more (stored). That's sweet and hope you enjoy the beauty! :hurray:
Yea thanks guys, ironically I had to wait through my World Literature II class before I could drive it... If I was a betting man, I would place my money that time instantly slowed down during that hour and a half! p.s. this has got to be the coolest icon :steering: EVER
Took me 20 years after falling in love to finally get my Vette. Every time I walk outta my apt, I just sigh.....There's never been anything in my life that I get so much joy from, 'cept my son, of course (his favorite car in the world, too). :seeya
