Paint Codes - White...
Can someone tell me if the white on a 1992 and 1987 car is the same?
The "little black book" says the paint code for the '92 is *10* while the '87 is *40* - but it calls both colors simply white! I'm trying to find out if the Arctic White" on the '92 is the same color/shade white for the '87... I know there are multiple "shades" of white between the years, like white, pear white, arctic white, etc.
Anyone know?? :confused:

nope the white for 91-96 i believe is called arctic white while the white on 84-90 is called White.
the paint code 40 sounds correct for the 84-90. however you will find the arctic white is a much more brighter color. head to your autobody and ask to see chips of all the whites they are infact different.
