what is this piece called?
I need to replace a part on the interior of my '85. It's the plastic piece that goes around the rear compartment, above the privacy curtain. It also surrounds the locking mechanism for the rear hatch. But I do not know what this part is called. Can anyone tell me?

Sorry but neither my '85 for my '88 Shop Manual IDs that part.
You might call Contemporary Corvette (link on my site) if you need one, they vend new parts and have a large Vette bone yard in eastern PA.

Well, I've got a 96 so I'm not sure if part numbers would be the same but I'd be suprised if the descriptions were different. According to the Helm manual, the side piece is called the side cargo trim panel and the rear piece is called trhe rear cargo trim panel...
