This past weekend I tried to remove the passenger side door panel to fix the handle. I got every screw except 1. How do you get to the screw behind the lock????? :confused: Anyway after shaking my head for awhile, I was able to reach my hand in far enough to replace the missing screw. Is there a trick to this I'm missing, or do they just want to drive you crazy. :crazy: the year is a 92 convertible.

I think my 91 is the same. You need to push the lock forward (unlocked). Using a small flat blade screw driver, pry the lock rod cover (black plastic piece) off from the front. Push the lock rod up and remove the screw.

Thanks for the pics Bodhi, it was the one behind the sliding lock mechanism that gave me the trouble. I didn't want to mess with the plastic piece, I figured if I pulled to hard I would break it. Just another piece to replace. Not the first time, won't be the last. Again thanks for the pics I'll file them away for next time. While we're on the subject do you have anything for the drivers side? thats next. I want to replace the cup handle.
