Earlier in my project, I was doing the roller rocker install and noticed brake fluid behind MC
Damn, another part needed :smash:
Well, after removal and draining fluid from resevoir, this is what I saw
I'm sure that that crap was helpful in killing the MC. Where it comes from I don't know. The car was maintained by G.M. before my purchase, so that could have been part of the problem :jester
Looks better when clean :D
I bought a rebuilt MC and the exterior finish was crap due to hot tanking or whatever. Had them bring in another one and it was worse. :smash:
Of course I couldn't leave the blotchy finish so I painted it the same yellow as the top of motor :D
Now to flush the whole damn system :smash:
 :seeya
Damn dude you're going to have the most color coordinated engine bay on this entire forum   Looks great, though! I can't wait to see the finished product!!!

:iagree: Dan, you are such a perfectionist! I would love to see your car sometime.
I had the same gunk. So when I replaced the MC I cleaned the cups, totally bled the system over and over and after about 4 months that black crap started to come back.
So now I suck it out with a baster about once a month. The crud comes out pretty easy and I replace the fluid. Never ending process I think.
