Years ago my father (he's a dentist) had a patient who lost control of his Corvette vert (would have had to have been a C1 or C2), spun under a semi-trailer and just happened to be sideways when the trailer's rear wheels went over him. Both the front and rear of the car were totally demolished but he found himself sitting in what was left of the passenger compartment in the middle of the highway, completely unscathed...
I forgot to mention - the guy bought another Corvette immediately afterwards. I guess when you fall off that horse, you got to get right back on it.... :yesnod:
drove by this accident after it happened and i'm not sure how it was caused. but i saw a 70ish vette that was upside down with a telephone pole laying over the top of it. must have hit the pole and cracked it. drove by it a couple of days later to see a cross and flowers. :blueangel: :(
Re: OFFICIAL WRECKED CORVETTE TOPIC (X-FireChance)
AAAHHH, i cant stand looking at corvettes totaled. I got hit in the parking lot by some stupid teenager, who ran afterwords btw, and i have some minor paint damage to my rear end. I cried when i saw that, this is unbearable.
When I first got my '95, I looped it and went off in the grass at the roadside once. No damage to anything but my ego. Thank goodness for no guard rail and no drainage ditch.
I got T-boned by an @zzhat driving a Ford Explorer :U The idiot was on the phone and explained that he didn't see me because he didn't check for oncoming traffic. Pretty much wiped out my passenger side. The pics don't look as bad as it was in real life: Wrecked Vette :mad
Heres my damage, turned out to be more than $20,000 in body work...

Does that count? :leaving:
In the rain I went around a turn and spun it right into a ditch, no damage.
In the grass I spun it into a wooden garage (pic #1)
Also my dad backed into me, while I was in my car but hadn't got it started yet, was about to just to look up and see his trailer hitch jump on my bumper (pic #2)
The hitch damage has been fixed but the paint chip from the barn has just been colored in with a black marker to match the paint better, alot less noticeable.
