Nice looking wheels but I'd rather have 17" wheels.
Oh, so wouldn't I, but on the GTA, back then, 17's weren't an option, so these were the top choice back then... Back when long hair and spandex were both cool :smash:
Greetings! I have searched for these rims EVERYWHERE and can't find them. I wanted this version in 17, the only ones I could find were the Greenwood BBS and they had the same size center mesh as the 16, but with a wider polished band around them so the center mesh area looks too small. I gave up as it seemed I was :beatdeadhorse: .......... :seeya
I saw those on an early black C4 the other day, I think it was them, and they looked pretty good but I think they were the 16" version, which I am not a fan of... 17 or 18s would look better.
To each thier own, they would be a PITA to keep really clean like I like my wheels to be.
Yes, and no. I used to use a really strong wheel acid. Let it sit (diluted, of course) for about 20 seconds, or enough time to clear your sinuses and burn all your nose hairs out, and rinse everything off.. Worked like a charm. Then I'd spray some spray-wax on the wheels and wipe them down.
I used to sell these in the mid to late eighties at 450 each. They were the bad boys at that time. Michelin used to make a 305/16 for these. I can't remember the aspect ratio but they were huge for the time.

Re: BBS Wheels (GS 163)
I love the BBS-style wheel, but couldn't find a genuine BBS to fit my C4 and had to go to a HRE to get the old-school look of the 'snowflake'. I'm very happy with the wheels and feel it was a good decision.
Yes, they are more trouble to clean than a 5-spoke design (especially waxing them...!), but I accept that as the price I pay to have the look I want.

Re: BBS Wheels (bart15)
My 88 came with 17" all silver BBS wheels and the original GM wheels too. They look great, but they are a pain to clean. I'd post a pic, but photohost is not uploading my pics right now. Don't know where to buy them. I called BBS and they still have repair parts, so you could buy the parts separately and make a set, but it would be really expen$ive.
Love the look, had them on both my BMW and Infiniti. But what a PIA to keep clean. And by keeping them clean the gold fade's. Give me open wheels now that I'm older and want to drive more and clean a little less.
