!!!BUGS!!!
!@#$%DAMNIT! Clay bar and diapers and all the work and such pretty weather BUT WHATS THIS!? BUGS And I mean I cant drive 2 miles witout them pointing their faces directly at my front bumper and accelerating to kamakazi speeds. And W_T_F are these guys eatin steaks!?? It looks like the public restroom afer a sizzler all you can eat has been decended upon by every church in the town on kids eat free night when I look at my hood! And the whole rest of tyhe car looks good so I dont want to engage in gratuituos washing but I just know that bug stomach acid is busy digetsing right threw all those sizzler hamburger steaks and into my Torch red. AND YES I WANT THE CHEESYPOOFS AND BAKE ME A PIE ...RESPECT MY AUTHORATAH!! OR ILL KICK YOU IN THA NYUTS!

It hasn't gotten that bad here yet, it usually isn't too bad unless driving at night. I've never been to Alabama in the season, but I saw the effects of "love bugs" on a friend's car. He installed a special screeen just for his road trip out of Alabama last September. NASTY.

Yea, that sucks. I cant wait til the dreaded 17 year Cicadas get here. I think they start in mid May and last for 6 weeks. Those things are huge and can do some serious damage :banghead: . Guy

Same damn thing here in Michigan. It's even worse looking on my wife's white Grand Prix. Everybody's cars get the bug treatment (here), though, and I just try not to obsess over it too much! :crazy:

I have been wrapping a single sheet of saran wrap around the front bumper esp at nite when they go for the lites i just pull it off when i get home.I started doing this years ago before i left for a car show that way not so much to clean later.I have never gone over 80 with it on, and its never come off.

Since you just clay bared your Vette, now give it several coats of NXT folled up by a coat of Booster Wax.
Then each night hit the front bumper with a little spary of quick detailer, wipe off those damn bugs and follow up with another pass with Booster.
This will be far simpler than washing and maintain that slippery as glass surface which will minimize bug damage and adhesion.

Move to Sunny Central California. We don't have bad weather, flying deedle dumpers, flimwhippers, or high humidity. I can drive my Vette 12 months out of the year. (the earth quakes in northern and souther California are faked just to keep out the tourists! :lolg: )
