Oil Changes
OK, I am sure this will stir up controversy :boxing but how often do people change the oil in their cars?
I am talking about full synthetic only.

Re: Oil Changes (CBR Rider)
I'm running Amsoil, and have been advised of 7,000 mile oil changes. I just changed over to Amsoil for all my fluids about 4,000 miles ago. This included a full trans flush and fill. Rear dif, and engine oil.
Amsoils website says thier motor oils can go One Year or 35,000 miles. What do you think?

You won't get as much flak as me, on my 6 speed, whenever the change oil light comes on, on my '93 once a year at the end of racing season.

Re: Oil Changes (CBR Rider)
I don't put a whole lot of mileage annually on my Ruby and most of my trips are fairly short. I change every six months (Mobil 1) and chalk it up as cheap insurance.

With over 117,000 miles on the original engine my '92 Roadster gets a change when the light comes on. Mobil One and a Delco filter. What comes out is what goes in, by that I mean the engine does not burn any and is still very strong. And what fun it is to be able to drive it every day.

Every 5K just driving around Mobil 1, every 3K since I've started Autocrossing every weekend, starts getting visually dirty by then.

You might want to do it more often then 3,000 if you autocross every weekend.
