hello, i have a 1984 L-83 corvette, i have a fuel problem with the car, i changed the fuel filter, checked the spark plugs, and also cleaned the tank, the car drives fine when its cool, but as soon as it gets hotter, the car starts to boggles and dies..i have to wait a couple hours for it to cool down and then drive it normal again, but soon as it gets warmer, it boggles and dies again..i believe it is a fuel problem because the firrst time i changed the fuel filter, it was filthy, i am using 87 gas, which one should i use? any station i should use in particular? and what is the boggling problem? thanks in advance
I'm not familiar with the 84 motor but two things come to mind.
First is, can you borrow a fuel pressure gauge and see if you pump is lacking when you get on the gas. Maybe your pump overheats and then struggles ??
Second thing, is this a problem only when the car gets warm enough to get to closed loop ? Maybe O2 sensor ??
Good Luck
