Does your vette "beg" to be driven hard
I have two corvettes and although they look very very similiar, they are not. One inspires me to drive the livin crap out of it and push it too the limit and it never really gives me any reason for concern. The other one is fun if your going straight, but that is about it. Here they are:
92 LT1 base suspension with A4. Modified engine and tranny with 3.33 gears.
91 L98 Z07/FX3 six speed. Mildly modified engine and 3.45 gears
The 92 is the car that really does nothing for my confidence. At speeds over 150 mph is kinda floats along and under hard braking it squirms side to side. It corners ok with some body roll, but if the corner is rough, it wants to get loose. The car is in good working order, only has 50k miles on it with new shocks.
The 91 has been driven hard almost everyday of its life. It has well over 100k miles on the clock. I have also had this car over 150 mph and I have never lifted off the gas because I felt uneasy about the cars behavior. It corners hard and flat and braking is smooth, consistant and strong. It definately rides alittle rough, but I think it is worth the trade off.
Does your car make you want to hit every corner and nail it on every straight stretch, or does it basically scare the crap out of you whenever you do??

Yep, my car just loves to be put through it's paces. There are forces that prevent me to air it out as nuch as I would like...especially the police variety :D

My six speed car begs to be driven hard and that I do, my automatic car begs forit as well, but in a straight line for now, kind of hard to take turns with 165 tires on the front.
Every single time I'm in my car it seems like forever waiting for it to warm up so I can put her through her paces.
I lit the tiresup with my dad in the car, and although he acted like he didn't like I could tell he loved it.
Winding roads are another place where it is impossible to behave.

Drive it like I stole it.

The 92 is more "powerful", (for now) but the 91 would put a hurtin on the 92 in the corners even with the DR's on back. At least it feels that way!
Well I never let things get that far.. she never has to "beg"...
I think part of that feeling is due to the quick steering and the other part is due to L98 & A4 mods. They urge me to push it through corners and nail it during acceleration. :yesnod:

Mine does both. It loves to just chill around town. But when traffic acts up it loves to get the hell away from freaky drivers. And corners, oh yeah, it loves them. I'm still trying to get a good feel for the car, so I don't really push it yet...YET! There are a few corners I take regularly that I go faster in my truck, but I know if I get on the gas in the vette the rearend is going to make a mad dash to the side. So, I'm sure it's just a confidence thing with the vette and finding the appropriate entrance speeds. :D

Both do - they've got the "let's stop playing around" feel at normal speeds.

My 96 wants to be driven hard every time I get behind the wheel!
I run mine so hard....especially on the long flat straight-a-ways and the hard corners. If only it would pull a wheelie??!!! :skep:
