Sort of expensive but she's fine now. They had to put an ignition rack kit, lower steering column housing and tilt support. The steering/tilt had always had a lot of play in it. It finally got so sloppy it allowed the ignition rack and gear to bind up and break. I guess the previous owner(s) used the steering wheel to help him/her get out of the car. The wheel is solid now and the switch works great.
She's been gone for a week and a half, didn't realize how much I missed driving her. I don't know how you guys that have to store your Corvettes for several months during the winter can do it.
Hasnt been long for me, but I cant imagine life without being able to look out the window and admiring that unmistakable silloute!
Enjoy all over again!
Thanks again for the help!
