Default [Stereo] How would this look? -->

This is what it looks like now...

I was thinking getting vinyl covering instead of carpet with raised flames coming off the sub and amp with a C4 logo in the middle.

I mounted my amp behind the passenger seat on the body not on the seat.
It is out of the way and saves space in the rear. Plus the connectors are not as likely to get damged.
Good luck with your install.

its your car so do as you like.. but in my opinion it looks too cluttered...why do people want to mount the amp where everyone can see it?? mine is tucked away out of site.. and the car still looks as it should.. but to each thier own ..

If someone needs that kind of attention. Then go for it. Personally I think your music should be for you and not the whole block. People don't need or want to hear you coming from a mile away. I think 1500 watts is overkill.

PLEASE DON'T GET OFFENDED. IT'S YOUR CAR DO WITH IT WHAT YOU WILL!!!

I'm not the one with 1500 watts, that's Hippie over there, my amp puts out a weak 350W max.

I'm 20 but have been down this route (not in the vette in my 4x4 tacoma i had) If you have 1500watts and it hasn't blown out your glass you're not getting 1500watts I had a guy the other day tell me he had a 2000watt amp .....he didn't do his math... as far are how he wired it what ohms he has etcetc... he might of had a 300watt system going. 1500watts in a vette should be over 175 db which would stop your heart literally thats what it takes to stop your heart. But this is off the subject now haha so to each his own do what you like. Just not my cup of tea.

nah, it dont matter how high ur wattage is, its the output of ur speakers, my speakers r 150 rear and 125 front, the amps r bridged, so it wont blow ur speakers But i did get pulled over with my stereo only on 20 ( goes to 35, nvr had it tht high) and igotp ulled over, cop said he heard it from over 200 ft away....lol so its LOUD the way i like it, i love how ican feel the bass and i can feel it vibrate my chest...lol

I started this thread for opinions, not how many watts someone thinks they have.

Thanks for the comments and stop stealing my thread

nah, it dont matter how high ur wattage is, its the output of ur speakers, my speakers r 150 rear and 125 front
this statement is completely wrong. Speakers do not have an "output" in watts, they have a powerhandling rating but that does not tell you how loud they get. Speakers can have a low or high sensitivity, which means that with a higher sensitivity, it can get louder with less power, but a lower one needs more power to get just as loud. Having a powerful amp is usually better because you are less likely to blow your speakers with a more powerful one if it is setup correctly. Now underpowering speakers does not hurt them, but what hurts them is if you are sending a clipped signal to your speakers. An electrical A/C wave is what is sent to your speakers from your amp. This wave is a sine wave, which is why your speakers move back and forth. A clipped signal can send almost 2x the RMS (root meaned squared or the average power) to your speaker with your speaker not getting any louder. since it does not get any louder, the cone does not move any more to cool the voice coil and the end result is a burnt coil, which is what really happens when people blow speakers.

now you dont have to have a lot of power if you dont plan on listening it incredibly loud. By this i mean people who are not used to very loud systems, their ears will hurt for the few times that you have it that loud. Now the average person will not want it that loud, but if you ever get more into car audio you will eventually want it louder and louder.

As for feeling it in your chest, cheap 6x9s can do that. this is my previous car with my previous system. http://www.sounddomain.com/member_pa...=291517&page=1

That system consisted of 2 JBL BP1200.1s on 1 15" sub. Each one of the amps put out around 1400 watts rms not max. The max rating on an amp is very misleading as it is never what the amp actually puts out. Max is usually about double of what the RMS is or the average is. So that was 2800 watts to one sub. The first few times i heard it I would feel it in my throat like it had somethign stuck it it and it blurred your vision. Now i did not go driving it around blaring all the time, i used it to compete in SPL competitions when your loudness is measured. I think my highest score is on that page.

Dude,
your amps and sub look awesome!!!
Looks EXACTLY like my install. Sub in a built in enclosure in the storage compartment, amp behind the seat.. Without the little door up, you can't tell anything's there.. But can you feel it? OH YEAH!! It's such a small area, you don't need a ton of wattage.
