I'm getting a C5 too.....
Don't hate me as I am still going to keep my '89 Dark Red Metallic Coupe, but I am adding a 2001 Mag Red II Coupe to the garage. Flying to Phoenix this Friday to pick it up and make the 1600 mile drive back home over the weekend. Was just lurking around the market and found a great deal that just could not be passed up. The wife says I need to sell the '89 cause we don't need 2 corvettes unless one of them is yellow. While she gets her way on most things, don't think I'll let her get by with this one. I'll still spend most of my forum time in the C4 area as it will now be time for heavy modding/restoration on the '89.

Just could not pass up the deal. About $8k lower than anywhere else for the same car. For that price, I'll use it as my daily driver and baby my '89.

$22.9K - 2001 Mag Red II - Oak Interior - Exactly what I was looking for. A few rock chips that can be repaired and a scratch on the console lid.

Well I am keeping my C4 but I wanna get a new one. Stuck between a new C5 with dropping prices or the new C6.

I will get a C5 one day, but I gaurantee neither of my C4's are going to be sold for one.
I'm looking for a midyear or a shark though, then a C6 then a C5.(I'll need a bigger garage though).

Re: (Mr Mojo)
I just picke up a pretty much mint 99 C5 over the weekend. I LOVE my C4 but see for for sale thread. I haev not the time nor the room for both and after driving the C5 andi dint mean this in a bad way in the least i just cant imagine giving my C4 much seat time or the time it deserves. She needs a home where she will get more attention. I loved my time with the C4's (i had 2) but time marches on and the C5 is just oo damn fun and cheap right now to pass up they are practiacally giving them away

The only thing about giving up a C4 now is that when you want one 10-20 years from now th eprices will be back up.
I found a warehouse for sale, 9000 sq/ft, would be nice to buy up as many C4's as I can for parts, racing driving etc. except that the building costs $11,000 a year just in taxes.

Congrats Mayberry!!! So many of us tempted by "the dark side"
I was this close to having a C5 today. (along with the C4) Amazing what one year less on a model makes in the loan value for a car.
PS. Sorry about the bad day Mojo, it'll get better!

Of course, I also want a yellow 70-72 big block 4 speed vert', but as with most of you guys, I need a bigger garage before I go for that one.
HTH!

I have every intention of keeping my '89. The Dark Red Metallic and Mag Red II will look great together. The wife won't drive the '89, but she will drive the '01, so we can take them on trips together. It will be too cool.
