I just picked up a hard top for my Vert but I need a retro fit kit so that I can fit it on my 86. Does anybody know where I can find one of those kits? I've been searching the web with no success.
Only thing I can say is to call the guys at Superior Chevrolet. When I bought my hardtop it came with the retrofit kit, but not the rollbar brackets. A quick call to Jeff and I had the brackets and the bolts. I'm sure they can help you. http://www.superchevyperformance.com/online.html

Re: Convertible hardtop question (BigD904)
Call one of our Forum sponsors or log in to their site http://www.vette2vette.com
I just spoke with them about this very subject last week at Bloomington. He said something about bollts for holding the rear of the top down and said that the front clamping brackets (on the windshield header) were different in the newer C4s. He can get you the correct ones. It seems there are two holes in the later brackets - the outer hole is for the folding top and the inner hole is for the hard top. Talk with him for the real scoop on this. His prices are great and he is really customer oriented! :flag
Thanks Wheelman! Same to you
I called Superior Chevy and they do not sell the kit anymore. They say it is discontinued by Chevy. I've been calling Vette2Vette but I their phone is always busy. Once I get through I'll post an update.
