I had only high speed for quite some time and now nothing.
Forum search didn't seem to help.
I did pull the 4 wire connector off the top of the heater blower area at the fire wall thinking loose connector but nothing.
I figure if I run straight power to two of the wires I can at least test to see if the motor works but which terminals and what is below that connector anyways?
Anyone else have to replace something like my problem?
I agree that the Relay is good bet - otherwise the resistor module may be bad and that's mounted where you unplugged it.
Purple should be the hot side of the blower motor leads and the ground is black. Make sure the terminals are in good shape and haven't melted at the crimp. If so, solder in new ones as the motor can draw quite a few amps and if you just crimp it, it'll drop voltage and the wires will melt.
It doesn't really matter which leads you use to test it. It's going to run reqardless - just backwards if you reverse the leads. Of course it will matter if you repair it, so if it's difficult to tell which wire is which, leave it hooked up and make sure air is coming out of the vents or if it's blowing through the windshield inlet, you'll know you need to reverse the leads.
