Default I B Vetteless

Well our little baby went away today to be fiitted with her new hood and paint from the bumper to the doors. The gentleman at the body shop seemed more thrilled than I am about the new hood. He had me check it out and then he showed me an 85 Vette he was just finishing. I looked and looked for flaws in his work and could not find any. He said that there was 3 spots on the hood and pointed them out to me. I would have needed a magnifier to find them on my own. His eyes must be much better than mine. He said that we would have it back by the 27th, so that we could attend Carlisle.
The reflection in that 85 was super crisp with no waves at all.
Just thought I'd share that with you guys, (especially the ones that saw the HOLE that I cut in the hood).

He totally understood. Driving the car down the interstate with the hood slightly open would not have been a wise thing to do. Plus cutting the hole did allow me to drive and tune the engine before he kept it for 2 weeks.
I still think there is a little more power to be found in that engine combo, but it will have to wait till after Carlisle. We'll see what the DYNO says.
I wish I would have had my camera with me when I dropped it off. The guy at the body shop looked like a little kid when he talked about putting that hood on.

Don't ya love it when a plan comes together...

Being 'vette-less sucks. I thought I'd crawl out of skin during my first 'bout of "separation anxiety".
My column switch disintegrated shortly after I bought it. By the time the tow truck picked it up and got it to the shop, since it was Friday they weren't able to get it done until Monday. Longest weekend of my life as I had only had the car 2 weeks!

Mods look good - keep us posted on the tweaks!
