Default wipers

Started raining today so i go to turn on the wipers and they got stuck after moving a tiny bit. i get out of the car in the pouring rain and noticed that it got stuck on the hood . after freeing them from the hood they work fine until its time to turn them off and i had to help them again. anyone have this problem? did the idiot who owned the car before me put the wrong ones on? or is this another "vette part" that im going to have to pay 2x the price every time i need new wipers for a special name brand?

yeah actually the wipers are special order he must have not wanted to pay for them at 40 bucks a piece and just tried some normal ones. Just kidding.

he must have put on the wrong wipers, i have never had a problem with mine. I have always just picked them up at wal-mart.

I couldn't determine what year you have. Upgrade to the 96' model blades and arms. They changed the angle and length on the arms and shortened the blades in addition to removing the last half inch of metal on the older style blades so it is just rubber at the ends. I can get you the p/n's and prices if you want. Just not handy at the moment.

Be careful, if they collide at the wrong time they could damage the hood.

its a 1995. the 2 wipers arent hitting eachother, its just too tall to clear under the hood when turning them on and off. im probably going to take a trip to pepboys tomorrow and get new ones.

Default Stuck wipers

This happened to me the day I purchased my vette. I got a new set of arms and wipers and all has been fine since.

Sounds like the previous owner put in the wrong blades
I tried a set not listed for my year and they hit my hood when I closed it. Went back to the jobber and bought Trico blades. They are OEM on most.

Hey Agent86 - do you know if this true for the 85s? My blades are kind of sketchy and 'Lauren' sometimes gets driven in the rain.
